Description of Training:

We will explore the challenges and joys of supervision/mentoring by exploring the Hero’s Journey  of Joseph Campbell .  The workshop will examine the stages and  essential skills/process  of supervision and mentoring.  We will also explore archetypal patterns delineated in stories movies.  We will delineate a  bio/psycho/social  case formulation  framework for case supervision. In addition we will attend to scope of practice, boundaries, minimizing risk and liability and the appropriate place of inner work,  self care and its role in supervision . Meets Ethics and/or Supervision  CE requirements.

This training will be conducted in a webinar format. You will receive an email prior to the webinar with instructions on how to sign in to the webinar.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Examine the biological/psychological/social model to examine cases
  2. Understand the important elements of a good supervision relationship and therapeutic factors of change
  3. Learn to implement a visual case formulation model
  4. Delineate steps to minimize risk and liability
  5. Focus on working with in scope of practice
  6. Recognize the importance of inner work as a supervisor and supervisee
  7. Explore the Hero Journey of Supervision
  8. Examine archetypal patterns in the Supervision process.
