Description of Training:
CBT needs a new creative and engaging approach to reach out to clients in individual and group therapy. The Integrative Cognitive Behavioral and Schema Therapy brings a holistic dimension to therapy by blending behavioral/cognitive strategies and storytelling with Psychodynamic Schema Therapy. In this workshop you will learn step-by-step methods for individual and group therapy designed to be adapted to each client. The goal is to provide achievable tools that can be adapted to each individual to navigate one’s life journey.
This integrative model provides a uniquely bio-psycho-social skills based approach encouraging clients to discover strengths, deepening interpersonal connections, locating resources and finding resilience. Behavioral skills will be shown on how to start the schema change. The workshop will illustrate how to enhance CBT with metaphor, art and music and other learning styles. The cognitive/behavioral skills will help illustrate how to shift schemas through behavior change, annotate history within the automatic thought record and encourage a gestalt structured approach with rehearsals. These skills are also easily adapted to trauma, stress management, ADHD, anger and couples communication problems.
This training will be conducted in a webinar format. You will receive an email prior to the webinar with instructions on how to log in to the webinar.
