SUMMARY:Webinar: Schema Therapy: Identification and Transformation (4 CE’s)
DESCRIPTION:Description of Training:\n\nSchema Therapy is an evidence based cognitive/behavioral and psychodynamic approach of CBT developed by Jeff Young PhD in the 1990’s. Many clients are affected by their positive and negative schemas and this workshop will offer how to identify and shift maladaptive schemas and support healthy schemas. We will focus on clinical challenges and how to work through the stuck period that often occurs during schema shifting. This will be done in a well-paced workshop that will be practical and creative. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nIdentify maladaptive schemas (life history and present moment)\nUnderstand current triggers to schema development\nExamine how to educate clients about schemas\nDelineate the behavioral driven components of schemas and how to shift them into transformation\nExamine schema focused (bio/psycho/social) change strategies.\n\nReferences: \nFarrell\, J.\, Reiss\, N. and Shaw\, I.
